I’ve just joined ExpressVPN, and I have a question. I have the vpn installed on four of my devices (iphone, MacBookpro 17″, MacBook Pro 15″ retina, and and old G5 Mac Desktop. What about my router which is from Verizon? Can Verizon “see” what I log into? Is there a protection from the service one is connected to?
Thanks,
Rick
When you turn on ExpressVPN on a device, your internet service provider (Verizon) cannot see your browsing activity. For full details on what your ISP can and cannot see when you’re using a VPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/blog/what-does-a-vpn-hide/
Using the VPN on your device is enough to keep your browsing activity private from your ISP; you do not need further VPN protection on your router itself. That said, you can get a router compatible with ExpressVPN and get the benefits of the VPN on every device connected to your Wi-Fi. For more info: https://www.expressvpn.com/vpn-software/vpn-router
